Verb

What is a Verb?

A Verb is a doing word. It's the word that gives the action in a sentence.

Examples of verbs:

Run

Jump

Eat 

Laughed

Nodded

Write

Examples of using Verbs in a sentence:

She walked along the path.

They swam in the ocean.

The morning sun rose in the sky.

Verbs are used in poetry to create different effects. They are used to make a sentence more interesting and to help describe the action of the subject.
