Rhyme

What is Rhyme?

A rhyme is when two words sound the same when spoken.

Examples of Rhymes:

Bright and night

Day and sway

Rhyming words don't have to be spelt the same to be classed as a rhyme.

Two and do

Would and hood

Pause and laws

Rhyme is used in poetry to help the poem become interesting. Rhyme is used to help create a pattern within a poem. Want to know more about using rhyme, have a look at rhyming couplets.
